COLUMBUS, Ohio — Power has been restored following two outages that left approximately 6,000 customers without power Friday evening, according to AEP Ohio.
The first outage happened just before 6:15 p.m. in the northeast part of the city near Morse Road and Hamilton Road. The power company told 10TV that more than 4,200 customers lost power due to an issue at a substation.
The second outage happened in north Columbus' Linworth area. Shortly before 7 p.m., around 1,700 customers lost power. AEP Ohio said that the power outage was due to a substation issue as well.
The power company told 10TV on Saturday that power was restored for all its customers by 6:00 a.m.
